The Everglades yields an unending number of inspirations, our second is the Florida Alligator. These gators are a keystone species here; they may grow to 15 ft. and live to 50 years of age. They are truly ancient creatures, here from the time of God’s great creation. Gators are everywhere, in canals, on the banks and if we are fortunate, we see them crossing sandy and gravel roads as we travel by truck, side by side or in our swamp buggy. Ancient and dark, they have a sway that is all their own.
The gator blend is an “ode” to this ancient creature, looking cool on a warm or hot muggy Florida night without a care. It begins as a woody scent, masculine and strong and evolves into a warm resin rich woodland with depth. The base is smooth, ancient, and grounded, like the gator. Users describe the dry down as light rose or geranium, and others as a hint of neroli. Regardless of which, it is pleasant surprise.
