This blend is inspired by our visits to the Skunk Ape Headquarters and our friendship with David Shealy, Headquarters Owner and Florida Skunk Ape Expert located in Ochopee, FL. In his book, On the Tracks of the Skunk Ape, Shealy reports the existence of the Skunk Ape dates back hundreds of years through documentation of settlers and oral history of the indigenous people. Sealy has appeared on media channels such as Discovery, History Channel and Animal Planet, to name a few. Although we have not had the opportunity to see the Skunk Ape personally, we continue to watch, listen and use the sense of smell when out in the glades.  Unlike the Skunk Ape, this scent opens with a bright, citrusy scent (imagine seeing the Skunk Ape, it would wake us up), and moves quickly, (just like the Skunk Ape, filmed by Sealy, running through the sawgrass), to a grounding grassy scent and ending in a warm, musky dry down.
